I would be extremely grateful if you would record my sincere appreciation of the work recently carried out on your behalf by Upfields Heating. In line with other Eastbourne Homes Properties, we had to have our old boiler removed and replaced, which was successfully accomplished in the last few days. My wife and I were apprehensive about such work being undertaken during the coldest part of the year and about the inevitable disruption and likely mess, but I have to say that we were pleasantly surprised with the courteous professionalism demonstrated by those engineers involved, particularly the main engineer, who I believe is called Ali (Ally). From start to finish, we were extremely impressed with the manner in which he did the job, making every effort to minimise the inconvenience to our family, and even working well into Saturday evening to complete the job without it extending further into the weekend. We are also very grateful to Chris at Upfields Heating for fully explaining the nature of the work prior to commencement and for visiting so quickly after its completion to check that it had been finished satisfactorily.
All too often one hears of horror stories, shortcuts being taken and shoddy workmanship, especially with such a large-scale contract. Thankfully this is far from being the case in this instance and I feel it appropriate to pass on my comments and gratitude for a job well done.

Upfields contacted me a week or so before the work was due to start and arranged a mutual date for the work to commence. They also fully informed me of what they would have to do, plus how long the work would take. They also contacted me a couple of days after the work was completed to make sure there were no problems. This contact was a personal visit by them, in which besides enquiring to my satisfaction, they also checked all of the work they had carried out.
The tradesmen were highly skilled and courteous; they immediately took into account my disability making sure at all times that I had room to move around, and making sure I had heating and hot water each evening; which must have been time consuming for them!
I have spent many years working in the gas industry; my last position was working for the Chairman of Scottish Gas where I had to resolve all problems that reached his desk. Because of this I feel I can evaluate Upfields and their Tradesmen as the best I have ever seen, and they are certainly a credit.
